Based in: Remote
Reports to: Senior Manager of Accounting
Compensation: $60,000 - $70,000 + Benefits *Compensation is dependent on experience
Role Type: Full time / Perm
Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Work with an outside accounting firm and various company personnel to ensure accurate and timely completion of all federal, state and local, and international tax filings
  • Gather and analyze accounting data; review and prepare tax work papers
  • Research federal, state, and international technical tax issues
  • Research and resolve federal and state tax correspondence issues
  • Compile and analyze monthly sales tax and VAT data files and reconcile sales, tax, and VAT and payments accounts to the general ledger.
  • Ensure internal systems are appropriately collecting all state, local and international taxes from customers
  • Manage unclaimed property operation
  • Participate as an integral member of the finance and accounting team and technical resource for the enterprise
  • Assist in the formulation of tax-related internal controls and policies to comply with regulatory requirements and established best practices
  • Perform other job-related duties as requested
  • Assist in the annual audit process
  • Assist in the budget process
  • Other reasonable activities required by management/leadership
  • 3+ years of tax-related experience (Preferably indirect tax)
  • CPA Preferred
  • Accounting or related degree
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel
  • Coachable
  • Detail, goal, and team-oriented
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Good organizational skills
  • Effective time management
