Job Summary:
The Application Support Analyst - Business Applications supports, maintains, and enhances all applications in support of business requirements. It is part of the Corporate Systems group, which manages all end-user-facing aspects of business applications including Microsoft Dynamics GP, Warehouse Management Systems, Adaptive and more. The role includes engaging end-users with their business application requests and issues, managing and resolving issues by working with vendors and other internal teams, developing, and executing test plans, and documenting application requirements. The candidate should have excellent problem-solving skills, keen attention to detail, an inquisitive nature, a passion for excellent service, the ability to self-start, and be resourceful.
Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Communication - Work closely with vendors, end-users, and business partners to resolve issues and test resolutions. Ability to understand, articulate and document business requirements
  • Troubleshoots production issues, identifying the root causes,s and implementing sound technical resolutions in a timely manner.
  • Recommends technical solutions to reported problems, identifying the pros and cons of each solution.
  • Plan, develop, test, and install systems solutions to enable new business lines and/or departments as well as special Client requests.
  • Creation and modification of departmentalized account workflows.
  • Train users on the new/modified applications.
  • Quality control of application system functionality to ensure data integrity and system synergy with all peripheral devices.
  • Confirms software solutions by conducting tests and modifying code and/or configuration.
  • Provide guidance and support the end-users in their efforts to become more proficient in the use of the applications.
  • Generate Ad-hoc reports as needed.
  • Provides reference documentation by writing and maintaining functional and technical specifications.
  • Maintains system and programming guidelines by adhering to the software development lifecycle.
  • Protects operations by keeping information confidential.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • One (1)+ year of experience in SQL development preferred.
  • Six (6) months experience in business application development or software configuration role preferred.
  • Six (6) months experience in performing quality testing ensuring business requirements are met preferred.
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to act independently to resolve problems
  • Good verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Must show a sense of urgency, being able to perform and multitask under pressure
  • Must be able to provide on-call support on a rotating basis
  • Must be able to work remote in a home office environment
  • Candidate must have software application experience for mission-critical software that is used by multiple business units included but not limited to Fiserv DNA, Meridian Link, Alkami, or Nautilus Imaging System
  • Minimum 5 years of a financial institution or eCommerce experience preferred
