Job Summary:
Bodybuilding.com is looking to hire on a Director of Ad Sales. This role is integral to the growth and development of the brand -- and will include sales activities and customer relationship management. Reporting directly to the VP of Growth, you’ll be responsible for both growing new business while also closing ?existing client direct deals and then overseeing the delivery and activation of those revenue deals? ?from partners. This hire must have a clear understanding of our partner's long-term business objectives and seek out opportunities to further grow business. You will be responsible for developing, improving, and leading partner sales and strategy to achieve ambitious quarterly and annual sales targets while also providing direction for marketing and product roadmaps & strategies and developing strategic relationships with key client accounts.

This is a?n exciting? sales role, requiring industry expertise and contacts, proven sales, and management ability with a penchant for closing high-value deals. You understand and anticipate how decisions are made, and you will persistently explore and uncover the business needs of our key clients. Along the way, you will grow, mentor, and manage a sales team to meet increasing revenue targets.
Responsibilities:
  • Build, manage, and scale a revenue pipeline with advertisers, agencies, and partners
  • Proactively pitch and close new business, manage renewals and upsells, and exceed sales targets by using a robust solution-based sales approach
  • Forecast monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets to sales leadership on a timely basis
  • Drive results in a fast-paced, resource-conscious environment with a creative style and a strong vision
  • Work to identify opportunities for optimization and/or growth of existing accounts to facilitate stronger relationships and increase revenue
· Manage and develop all aspects of campaign planning, management, optimization and reporting to help partners achieve positive ROI and campaign satisfaction
· Stay abreast of and educate internal stakeholders on changes in digital advertising landscape
· Serve as the main point of contact with our out-sourced advertising partners
· Work closely with internal Merchandising, Product, Engineering, Finance, Marketing and Creative teams to develop messaging, communicate opportunities, and update systems that increase operational success and monetization growth
Who you are:
  • 5+ years’ experience in digital advertising sales and partnerships, ideally with experience managing several team members
  • Experience designing and implementing integrated digital advertising media plans
  • Extensive familiarity with the ad tech ecosystem, key players, and trends
  • Strategic thinker with resourcefulness, attention to detail, the ability to execute on priorities and who is not afraid to roll sleeves up
  • Strong executive-level communication and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated and entrepreneurial, with a willingness and comfort to work in a fast-paced and agile environment
  • Strong interpersonal and client relationship management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Passion for and knowledge of the fitness and health space
