Based in: Remote - Based in Boise, ID
Reports to: Category Management Team
Compensation: $45,000 - $55,000 + Benefits *Compensation is dependent on experience

Job Summary:
The Merchant Assistant will be a key contributor to the newly formed Product team. This role will support the efforts of growing the business by facilitating the onboarding of new vendors and products, helping coordinate successful launches of new products, and participating in design reviews. This person should be highly organized, detail-oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

A Day in the Life:
  • Compile information for new product sheets to send to vendors
  • Submit new products sheets into Jira and collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure SKU launch success
  • Manage samples; receiving, organizing, and shipping as needed
  • Coordinate with Legal department to ensure all designs are approved before production
  • Submit vendor onboarding contracts and stay apprised of status to ensure timely turnarounds
  • Conduct daily site audits to ensure products, imagery and promotions are all providing the best customer experience
  • Pull together content, including imagery and copy, for product pages to optimize search and conversion
  • Partner closely with the Category Manager team, various cross-functional partners, and external partners

Education and Experience:
  • BA/BS degree preferred in fields of Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or Business
  • 2+ years of combined professional experience in a related field or within the same industry
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Strong cross-functional skills
  • Strong aptitude for spelling and grammar; attention to detail
  • Ability to execute tasks with minimal direction

  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience in JIRA/Confluence is a plus
  • Experience and/or willingness to learn the ATG merchandising platform, research its capabilities and discover potential applications to help drive the business forward
  • Ability to prioritize to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Aptitude for organization, flexibility, and producing results with quick turnaround and strong personal accountability
  • Experience on a Shopify platform a plus
  • Background in analytics and eCommerce a plus
